Bumba horrida

Dear Taxonomy, please don’t redescribe this species as horrida is a super cool name.

In fact horrida can translate to “shaggy” in English, but we are far too mature to be nick-naming this species, and really you should be too!

Especially as not that shaggy in reality

This rare species is found in the Amazonas region of northern Brazil.

This is a shy species that is not aggressive though will flick hairs. It has unusual, long, dark blue slender legs which give it an unique appearance, and becoming more popular as something a little different for keepers of NW Animals, and one that defo shouldn’t be passed up.

Are quite quick so be warned, but easily reared again in our spiderling kits (see below) with no real difficulty, hide, bowl, sub and tub and you’re away!
