If ever there was a genus or a species that deserves to be more popular it’s this one, over recent months has become my life’s work to convert people to Bonnetina as a genus as has some of the nicest looking and awesome species in Mexico, so buckle up, we’re going for a ride!
You’re looking at a Mexican species, with dark blue legs and faint “skeleton” patterning, a pink/red carapace and a red haired abdomen, complete with heart shaped mirror patch, I know right!
If the looks don’t sell it to you, it’s also a semi-dwarf maxing out at 12cm, super chilled like most of it’s Mexican cousins but unlike Brachypelma boasts a decent growth rate… as you’d expect is super easy to set up, rear in a spiderling kit x3 and just overfill water bowl slightly.
Literally one of my favourite species and never heard a bad word against them from keepers we’ve been lucky enough to supply… dig in!
