This is one of two species that has been available as Homeomma sp. “Blue” in the last decade. The most commonly seen one is the Homeomma sp. “Blue, Small” which is now known as Thrixopelma cyaneum. This is the rarer large species previously known as Homeomma sp. “Blue/large” and is totally different to the Thrixopelma that is sometimes sold under the same name. To make things a little more complicated this species has also been recently sold as Euthalus pulcherrimaklassi. This is large species that varies from bright blue to a midnight blue colour depending on when it last moulted, they also have striking Cream/pink stripes on their legs. A very beautiful spider that is rarely seen anymore.
