The Hooded Katydid (Siliquofera grandis) ranks among the largest katydid species globally, boasting a wingspan of up to 25 cm.
Given its size, it necessitates a spacious enclosure measuring around 45x45x60 cm for an adult couple.
These are currently around L2, but they do grow quickly so giving some extra room in the enclosure would be advised from the outset.
It is advisable to use glass or plastic tanks as this species could well chew through any netting.
A 12-hour day/night lighting cycle is recommended for this species.
The Hooded Katydid primarily feeds on Bramble and Oak, and also benefits from supplementary protein sources
