Scolopendra mortisans

A very attractive (if a centipede can be attractive?) mid sized species with tiger bands on the body and a bright red head. Like all Scolopendra they are pretty easy to keep though are very fast and aggressive so only suited to experienced keepers.

Whereas some might call them colourful creatures, often misunderstood there can be no misunderstanding against the absolute head case I chose to photograph who clearly was raised on a diet of steroids and red bull as it charged around a photo booth whilst I tried to get it back into a pot, I succeeded barely but Sweet Jesus I’m sweating now!
