Haplopelma robustum

A rare (haven’t been seen in years!), burrowing tarantula with a dark, striped abdomen and brilliant blue femurs;

These tarantulas are really stocky and bulky species once grown with a super defensive nature so would only recommend to those with a bit of experience behind them, however are a super rewarding species to keep with an impressive size and feeding response.

At 3cm now, they are fine to go into our aboreal spiderling boxes, 1/2 filled with Earth Tiger substrate and a cork bark piece (they will usually burrow at the foot of it)

A great one for keepers of Asian spiders or anyone looking to branch out from the standard lividus etc
