Introducing Paradonea sp. “Limpopo” – a striking and unique species of Ladybird spider, this being the first time offered in the UK.
The Limpopo region itself has a semi-arid climate but does experience the odd rain shower across Summer, so this species prefer life dryer like their european ladybird spider cousins (Eresus sp.),
They are a simple species of true spider to set up.
Ours are housed in a well ventilated tank, with a couple of cm of substrate. They will construct a small web so off-cuts of cork bark or a cut up trailing plant will give them the anchor points to web from.
Feeding on small crickets or equivalent
