Suitability
Originating from Mexico, this terrestrial species is highly distinctive, featuring a bronze carapace, a captivating black and orange abdomen pattern, and striking white legs.
Its unique and colorful appearance sets it apart from a lot of other species, yet retains the ease of care and hardiness of most other new world terrestrials.
Like most Davus species, they are very active while not being defensive in nature. They also share many of the easy care requirements of the pentaloris.
Whereas not a true dwarf species like Cyriocosmus they max out around 10cm of legspan, so are a very easy to care for option for someone looking for a species on the smaller side.
They thrive when set up in a similar manner to other New World terrestrials, where substrate, hide, and water bowl should be provided, although they aren’t particularly needy in terms of humidity.
Setup includes –
- Spiderling Box,
- Substrate Disc,
- Spiderling Bowl,
- Cork Bark Hide
