One of our firm favourites, this is one of the smallest growing pink toes in the hobby maxing out around 7cm and one of the most beautiful, adults have a pink carapace and legs with a black abdomen with 12 red stripes.
These have been noted to be living semi-communal in the wild but the emphasis here is on semi, whilst they’ve been found sharing the same plant, they still maintained their own web tunnels so we wouldn’t recommend trying this at home…
Slings are best started in our arboreal keepers (as with other avics), as this offers the cross venilation necessary for them to thrive although keepers will need to be on top of keeping the water bowl and surrounding substrate moist for the spider.
Setup includes:
- Arboreal Keeper
- Substrate
- Cork Bark
- Waterbowl
