This African species closely resembles both Augacephalus ezendami and Augacephalus breyeri, but is a beautiful species and one of the most attractive african species in the hobby.

As a close relative of the genus Ceratogyrus, Augacephalus requiring similar environmental conditions. (Dry but with room to burrow), As with all harpactirines do not keep this species too humid.

Personally would rear slings in a spiderling arboreal box but filled 2/3 of the way with arid earth substrate, should keep them entertained enough.

A very attractive Baboon spider and something a little different.

Check out this absolute stunner of a baboon species, A. Junodi – Orange Foot Baboon, is it better looking than an H. Pulchripes… I think so but am totally biased… https://thespidershop.co.uk/product/augacephalus-junodi/
