This model of acrylic enclosure has interchangeable Solid or mesh ventilation panels. For Tarantulas use the solid vented lid which is secured in place. For Mantis and Jumping spiders use the mesh as Mantis will hang from it to moult and the fine mesh prevents flies and hatchlings escaping (In happens).

Appreciate it’s not 100% obvious from the video but the top and bottom piece to the tank are not symmetrical pieces, there should be a small bit of writing on these pieces to indicate the front.

If tank has gaps at any corners etc this is why and the pieces need rotating until they sit flush.
