Often sold as Normal Colour form (NCF) or Grammostola porteri and is a recommended species for your first Tarantula! This terrestrial species makes an excellent starter species and the most commonly kept Tarantulas. Its popularity is due to docile nature and ease of care and being pretty much bullet proof tolerating a range of conditions. This species doesnt mind cooler temperatures and most often aggressive specimens are a result of keeping this species to hot. It is best to keep these at room temperature during summer and then use additional heating during winter. It is not uncommon for Chile Roses to stop feeding for a few months over winter and is nothing to be concerned about as long as the spider is in good condition
