This tropical ground dwelling species is found from Brazil to to Guyana. They are similar in appearance to E.cyanognathus (Blue Fang) but have an olive green carapace and lack the neon blue chelicera.
As Ephebopus are tropical species they require stable high humidity but also good ventilation. It is recommended to a layer of substrate around 10-12cm deep which allow digging and will help maintain the humidity. The are heavy webbers as well as burrowers often constructing large web tubes above the burrow making them interesting spiders to keep.
