Not to be confused with the Dom Purple which once was mis-labelled as cautus – these are a cuban species that don’t grow as large as other Phormictopus cautus is a medium sized species and small compared to other Phormictopus species in hobby but share their fast growth rate, hungry nature and robustness even as slings.
