A must for anyone looking for a visually stunning tarantula, with a super easy going nature and easy care requirements!!!

Bonnetina minax is a beautiful tarantula native to Michoacá in Mexico.

This calm and docile species has a bright red abdomen with two tones of blue into the legs, the carapace is a striking red-gold colour that’s almost iridescent.

Really has to be seen to be appreciated, as we’ve never been able to get a photo (or seen one) that does this spider justice.

Care wise is super simple and keepers can mirror the care for Brachypelma or Aphonopelma species (this tarantula is native to similar areas as Brachypelma hamorii)

The specific epithet is a Latin adjective that means “threatening”. It makes reference to the dense striking reddish tonalities that cover the carapace of this species.
