Native to Uruguay and Brazil, Eupalaestrus campestratus is a captivating tarantula species that stands out with its striking appearance and gentle nature.
Go back a couple of years and these were our most requested spider, but couldn’t be found anywhere. Thankfully due to several sucsessful breedings in Europe they’re back in the hobby.
These have the personality to rival a Brazilian Black or Chaco, are just super chilled and stunning animals.
They have pink, curly hairs on their legs, underside and on the abdomen. Their hind legs are bigger, stronger and longer than the other legs which is a characteristic of the Eupalaestrus genus.
Again really easy to care for and setup, they are great for newcomers to the hobby as well as one of the most desirable NW tarantulas for seasoned veterans…
Have a rather wide dispersion in the wild reported in Brazil, Paraguay and even Argentina, but would look to keep around 22-24 with a slightly humid corner of the tank for them.
Are a very full bodied spider and keen feeders but do grow slowly,
The Pink Zebra Beauty is an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced tarantula enthusiasts. Its docile temperament makes it a pleasure to interact with, as it rarely displays aggression or defensive behavior.
